Astrology of a New Era - Technology, Cycles, and Human Connection

Astrology shows us that history unfolds in cycles, and that each planetary movement reflects collective shifts in culture, technology, and human experience. The rise of artificial intelligence is one such moment, not random, but mirrored in the skies, part of a much wider story of disruption and renewal.

Pluto’s arrival in Aquarius marks a 20-year cycle of deep transformation. Aquarius is linked to technology, networks, and collective systems, so it is no surprise that questions around AI, power, and community are rising to the surface. Aquarius, the sign of the freedom fighter and visionary, amplifies Pluto’s transformative energy, perhaps suggesting that AI can be seen as part of humanity’s exploration of freedom from old systems and the routines that once bound us.The last time Pluto was here, revolutions in science and society redefined what it meant to be human. Now another threshold beckons.

Uranus has been moving through Taurus since 2018, shaking our relationship with security, work, and resources. Familiar ground has shifted, and AI’s growing impact on labour and value is one expression of that. In 2026, Uranus enters Gemini, the sign of communication, language, and knowledge. The last time Uranus travelled through Gemini in the 1940s, breakthroughs in computing and broadcasting reshaped how information moved. This coming cycle suggests another radical leap, with AI accelerating how we learn and share ideas.

At the same time, Saturn will be stepping into Aries. Saturn’s presence brings boundaries, lessons, and structure. In Aries, the sign of the pioneer, it asks: how will courage be grounded in responsibility? How will new tools, like AI, be used with integrity rather than haste? Neptune also recently made its move into Aries, blending imagination, inspiration, and spiritual ideals with the drive to act. Together, these transits suggest a period where vision and action intertwine, where new technologies like AI can illuminate human creativity as much as they challenge it.

Placed together, these transits reveal a sky that mirrors the unease and excitement of the present moment. They remind us that AI is not separate from human life but an expression of where we are in the cycle unsettling, yes, but perhaps part of a rhythm that has unfolded many times before.

Writers such as Gregg Braden describe technology as a mirror, showing us our own creativity and shadow alike. Yuval Noah Harari has suggested that the question is not what AI will do, but how humanity chooses to respond to it. Deepak Chopra speaks of the importance of inner awareness at times of outer change, while Matt and Joy Kahn remind us that every disruption holds the seed of deeper connection if we soften into the heart of it. Astrology echoes all of these perspectives: the planets show the cycles, but how we live them remains in our hands.

Some notice that when routine is loosened, other connections grow clearer, time with loved ones, encounters with the natural world, the inner rhythm that reminds us we are more than what we produce. Fear belongs to times of change, but astrology places that fear within a larger context, where endings are also beginnings.

The stars suggest that AI is not the whole story, only a chapter. The broader narrative is one of human connection, resilience, and renewal - themes that continue to weave through every age.

And perhaps that is the invitation: to hold these times not only as a challenge, but as a reminder to return to what nourishes. At Soul Healing Guidance, my work has always been about helping people reconnect with cycles;  personal, cosmic, and natural. AI may change the landscape, but it cannot replace the living bond between humans, the earth, and the greater rhythms we are part of.
